SUSTAINABILITY

Ring Mill sustainability starts with environmental awareness

Ring Mill's sustainability starts with the three important values that found company's history and characterize its production activities: Health & Safety, Human Capacity, Respect for the Environment.

Every year Ring Mill invests resources in environmental protection, support of the local community and training of its employees. In particular, on top of continuous investment and improvement in the company's internal Integrated Environmental Safety System, we dedicate great attention to the needs of our territory.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Ring Mill constantly studies and implements the best production methods in terms of safety, sustainability and energy saving. We protect the environment by optimising the use of resources and limiting the production of waste material; in addition, our geothermal and solar plants allow us to limit air and water pollution.

The transition and energy independence route started with the realisation of two important clean energy investments. In 2012, a solar panel system was commissioned on the roof of one building in the production area. Later, the first geothermal energy system was installed in the new office building, capable of completely covering the heating and cooling needs of the room allocation.

The photovoltaic plant currently covers an area of 15.066 sqm with an expected annual output of 2.760.000 kWh.

The entire production plant in Dubino, in particular the two renewable energy plants, meets standards and follows national and international water and air emission treatment guidelines.

SUSTAINABLE GOVERNANCE

Ring Mill is focused on a practical governance model that allows the implementation and management of an agile organisation, characterised by a virtuous process of shared value creation.

Ethics and integrity across our social responsibility principles allows us to efficiently and quickly meet each of our value chain governance demands, guaranteeing the highest quality standards and transmitting their values as Ring Mill stakeholders.

ORGANISATIONAL AND MANAGEMENT MODEL 231

Since 2008 Ring Mill has adopted the Organisational and Management Model 231, pursuant the Legislative Decree 231/2001 (Articles 6 and 7).

The model identifies a set of protocols aimed at protecting the company from liability for administrative offences, such as crimes against the public administration and IT, corporate, environmental or tax crimes.

Through the establishment of efficient control procedures and adequate internal monitoring strategies to reduce risks, Ring Mill identifies the 231 model as an effective tool for combating risk situations and the commission of the crimes.
